La Fille Bertha
«I was born from a Cloud while raining deeply.. Growing, I decided to move to the Moon: here, now, I feel quite comfortable, as if I had reached my real Home, for the moment! Sometimes it’s easier to use symbols, rather than spoken words…» La Fille Bertha
La Fille Bertha , also known as Alessandra Pulixi , is a Sardinian illustrator and street artist.
With a background in advertising, visual art and psychology between Milan and Cagliari, her illustrations range from painting to walls, and then on paper, cloth and wood. They tell of the “slice” of looks and figures suddenly captured in a gesture, an expression, a fragment of their world.
With a feminine and graceful touch, and the coulors and forms that reminds of a sweet and dreamy childhood, the stories illustrated by Alessandra Pulixi allude to a mysterious journey into the unconscious, in a non – abstract and fascinating places of the mind that open a window on other places.
Looking into them, you meet spoilt and absent minded ladies, that made her unique signature on the walls of Cagliari, Wien, Berlin, Valencia and South America.
